The Dolphin Inn Toddington

In a will dated 14 November 1542 Richard Reve of Toddington left his house "called the Dolphyn" to his wife Joan for life and then after her death to his godson and cousin George Reve [ABP/R6/162]. Richard Reve also owned the adjoining house and had purchased land in Toddington. In 1568 George Reve made a covenant with a Thomas Reve to arrange a formal agreement (a "fine") at Westminster relinquishing to Thomas his right in the Dolphin and two adjoining properties [X86/266].
