The Pewit Public House, Stotfold

The Pewit opened in 1848 and was located at 55 Astwick Road. It was owned by Edward Fordham, the Ashwell brewers and then purchased by the Luton brewers J.W Green in 1952. It closed in 1969 and is now a private house named Peewit Cottage.
