Charges for Other Services

(a) Research fees 

For the types of research we are able to carry out see enquiry and research service 

• General research work and transcription, charge per hour (exclusive of any copying charges) = £41.80 

• 45 minutes research = £31.35

• 30 minutes research = £20.90 

• 15 minutes research = £10.45

(Completion target: 2 days, except for conservation and specialist research which is negotiable) 

(b) Certificates and Certified Copies 

These charges are for verified entries not involving a search, for which research fees will be payable as above: 

• Baptism certificate (Anglican Church standard fee) = £17.00 (as of 1/3/23)

• General certification of documents (non-statutory) per item = £18.85 

 (Completion target: usually on request, or 2 days by post) 

(c)  Group visits  

Group visits to the archives office (evenings or daytime) can be arranged. These may include talks by staff, stackroom tours, and having documents out in advance ready for use. Fees are negotiable with a minimum charge of £70.25.

(d)  Talks 

Charge for talks by archive staff negotiable from £70.25. Travelling costs will be payable to locations outside the county of Bedfordshire.
