Tingrith Poor Rate Contributors 1705

This list of contributors to the “Poors Leavy after alteracon from 3d in ye pound to 6d for ye year 1705” was written in the parish register running from 1572 to 1709 [P90/1/1]. It thus shows the wealthiest men in the parish in 1705:

  • The heirs of William Boteler: 9 shillings;
  • W Walker, rector: 19 shillings;
  • Henry Richards: 8 shillings;
  • Christopher Crouch: 18 shillings, 6 pence;
  • W Drage: 19 shillings, 6 pence;
  • Thomas Swaine: 13 shillings
  • Henry Deacon: £1, 15 shillings, 6 pence
  • Thomas Buncker: £1, 18 shillings;
  • John Deacon: 6 shillings, 2 pence;
  • R Weech: 6 shillings, 2 pence;
R Pollard: 2 shillings
