10 London Road is an attractive little building and was listed by the former Department of Environment in December 1979 as Grade II, of special interest. The department dated the property to the early 18th century. It is built of colour washed roughcast with a brick built lean-to at the left hand side. The property comprises one storey and attics under a pantiled roof.
The Rating and Valuation Act 1925 specified that every building and piece of land in the country was to be assessed to determine its rateable value. Sandy, like most of the county, was assessed in 1927 and the valuer visiting 10 London Road [DV1/C29/114] found it owned and occupied by Arthur Fage.
The property stood in 0.147 of an acre and comprised two living rooms, a kitchen, bathroom and w. c. Upstairs lay three bedrooms in the attics. A brick and slate washhouse lay outside.
In 2010 the property was for sale at which time it was described as comprising: a dining area measuring 15 feet 10 inches by 12 feet 7 inches; a sitting room measuring 18 feet 8 inches by 14 feet 5 inches; a kitchen measuring 13 feet by 10 feet 6 inches; a utility room and a bathroom measuring 9 feet 3 inches by 6 feet 2 inches. In the attics above lay three bedrooms measuring respectively 14 feet 7 inches by 11 feet 8 inches, 11 feet 8 inches by 9 feet 4 inches and 11 feet 10 inches by 6 feet 8 inches.
