Bedford Poor Law Union Letters 1850 to 1852
Below is the index to document ref. PUBC2/6/1, a volume of letters sent by the Guardians of Bedford Poor Law Union. It includes pp 1 - 8 printed paper on the progress of the industrial occupation of the children in the Bedford Union Workhouse by George Hurst, July 1848. There are many references to assisted emigration to Australia.
