This Luton Town postcard was a means of advertising - there was a commercial message printed on the back:

Luton made it to the FA Cup final in 1959:

Forest won 2–1, with goals from Roy Dwight and Tommy Wilson just four minutes apart. Dave Pacey scored Luton's consolation goal.

Vauxhall Works Football Team 1914

Vauxhall Motors team 1913 - 1914 season. This postcard was used - the message on the back reads: 'What do you think of the roughs on the other side? I guess you can't pick me out, you have forgotten my face by now I bet…I'll bet this team will beat the best in Stevenage, that's brag isn't it?' Sent from 'Stan' Talbot House, Talbot Rd, Luton to Miss Murial Robinson, High Street, Stevenage on 8 Jan 1914. Stanley Fletcher, born 1895 had been employed by Vauxhall since 1911, he is recorded in the census as a 'learner car worker'.
