Why do we have this sound file at Bedfordshire & Luton Archives?

Centre of Hope was set up with the aim to help and support children and young people of Afro-Caribbean descent living in Luton. The Jamaican Voices project was a one year oral history project to capture the experience of people of Jamaican origin now resident in Luton. The project ran from 2010 until June 2011. Jamaican Voices sought to help educate all the youth of today about the 'richness' of understanding their heritage, thus aiding understand their parents and forefathers 'views of life'.
