This letter of 26th January 1906 appoints Messrs Brindley & Co as their agents. [ref.SP4/2/16a].

Why is this document at Bedfordshire & Luton Archives?

Hayward Tyler of Luton established a factory in the town in 1872. The company became part of Stone Platt Pumps and then in Oct/Nov 1980 Indian Head Incorporated, 1987 a subsidiary of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Group and 2009 a wholly owned subsidiary of the Niche Engineering Group, Southbank UK PLC.
