Pertenhall is an ancient parish approximately 11 miles north of Bedford, close to the Huntingdonshire border, with hamlets at Chadwell End, Wood End, Elvedon and Shirdon. Bedfordshire Archives holds many documents relating to the parish; a search of our online catalogue with Pertenhall as the subject returns over 2200 items.
