Paths to Crime Walks

Harrold Lock Up

To mark the end of our Paths to Crime two year project to catalogue the 19th Century Quarter Sessions Court Rolls we are planning to launch a series of trails via our website. Working with Bedford Borough Council's rights of way team we have created walks around Harrold and Odell  (pdf) and Sharnbrook (pdf).

Pages of additional information about the crimes and locations along the Harrold to Odell Path are here.

Pages of additional information about the crimes and locations along the Odell to Sharnbrook path are here.

We are also looking to develop a children's activity sheet to accompany each of the walks.

If funding can be secured we will look to roll out more trails in other areas of the county all telling true stories about 19th century crime, detective work and life in the locations it took place. If you or your group would like to be involved in helping us develop these trails please contact us.
