The Three Pots Public House Woburn

The Three Pots Public House: Woburn

The only reference to this public house when a child of the landlord, Robert Martin or Martine, was baptised in Woburn in 1711 [P118/1/2]. Interestingly a Robert Martin was licensee of the Red Lion in the 1770s and 1780s. Clearly this cannot be the same man but they may have been related.

Sources:

  • P118/1/2: baptism of Anne, daughter of Robert Martine of the Three Pots: 28th December 1711

List of Licensees: note that this is no ta complete list. Italics indicate licensees whose beginning and/or end dates are not known:

1711: Robert Martine.
