Hibbert Street Primitive Methodist Church Luton

Hibbert Street Primitive Methodist church did not have a long life. A temporary church, referred to as "The Tin Tabernacle" was built in 1886 and became part of the Luton II Circuit. Eleven years later, in 1897, the buildings became the Sunday school of the adjoining Mount Tabor Primitive Methodist church.

Bedfordshire and Luton Archives and Records Service has the following records of Hibbert Street:

  • MB679: Sunday School minute book: 1886-1890;
  • MB680: Sunday School treasurer’s account book: 1886-1910.
