Romano-British Harlington

The Bedfordshire Historic Environment Record [HER] contains information on the county's historic buildings and landscapes and summaries of each entry can now be found online as part of the Heritage Gateway website

No Roman sites are recorded in Harlington, but there have been isolated finds of Roman artifacts. In the 19th century a Roman vase was found while drainage work was being carried out at Dyers Hall Farm, to the south of the village [HER8054], and a sherd of 3rd or 4th century colour coated pottery, possibly Nene valley ware was later found in a field near Dyer’s Hall Farm [HER15298]

Other Roman finds in the parish are a quern stone at Manor Farm [HER11293], sherds of a Roman pot dated to 70-100AD between Horns End and Upper East End [HER15299], and sherds of Roman pottery to the west of the railway line [HER12926].
