Methodism in Bletsoe

Unusually for a North Bedfordshire village Bletsoe has no nonconformist chapel. There are registrations for meetings in private houses in 1832 and 1843. The Bedford Wesleyan Circuit register beginning in 1817 [MB12] has names of Methodists in Bletsoe as does the Bedford Primitive Circuit register beginning in 1841 [MB1854]. These Methodists would either have met at one of the premises registered or have gone elsewhere, such as Riseley, Sharnbrook, Thurleigh, Milton Ernest of Felmersham to meet for worship.
