Prizes won by William Hanscombe's greyhounds, 1851-1854, Leadenheels clearly didn't live up to his name winning the aged dog stake at both Baldock and Cardington. (ref: HE433).

There was a greyhound stadium at Skimpot, Luton from 1937-1973 and there is still a track at Henlow.
